Basic Dos & Don’ts of Internet Texas Holdem

Remember, although you’re facing the monitor every time you make a move, you’re also still facing a human opponent – you just can’t see them.
Fairness over Technicality
It’s doubtful that any casino would rule otherwise. So remember, when you encounter any trouble on the table, the house shall always make the rule in favor of fairness and equality and not on mere technicalities.
Don’t Say Bad Words
It’s quite common today that players inside a poker room chat together while playing. Always remember to be on your best behavior because any disgraceful conduct could lead to the casino banning you from their site.
Betting and Raising the Ante in Limit Games
Whenever you make a bet in a limit poker game, the amount of your bet should equal the value of the big blind. Likewise, whenever you raise the bet, it must be at least the same with the bet made by the player before you.
Maximum Limit
When you’re playing a limit poker game, always keep in mind that there’s a maximum limit for betting, raising and re-raising. Because of this, you can be assured that bully-like players will not be able to play their usual style of playing.
The maximum limit however is not applicable when the game is down to just two players.
Escaping the Blinds
Because players do get eliminated in a game, there’s no way to escape your fate. You will have your turn at posting the blinds!
Timing
Poker players may still be timed if another player requests it. If you have a problem making decisions in a speedy manner, you might wish to try practicing playing free games until you get the hang of it!
Free Advice
Giving your two cents to one of the players at the table through the chat room could get you disqualified. If you wish to help your friend out, don’t do it!
